My old computer stopped working. I already downloaded itunes on my new computer, not I just want my old songs back.
They’re not all purchases so I can’t get all my songs if I just do ‘transfer purchases.’

copy them on your old computer to a (fairly large capacity) flash drive, like 8 gig, or external hard drive, them plug it into your new computer and move the files into itunes. if u cant get ur computer working though, you can only get songs you purchased from itunes. just plug in your ipod and it will transfer purchases

    Are they all bought from the iTunes store? If so, then plug in your iPod, “File”, “Transfer Purchases from iPod”. If some are from CDs or downloaded off the internet, then you’ll have to do that separately.

    If all your songs were purchased from iTunes store, use “Transfer Purchases” option to transfer. See –//support.apple—/kb/HT1329

    If some of your songs were from other sources, you will need to utilize some iPod transfer program to help you, like this handy one called Tansee iPod Transfer
